There is a whole sub-genre of female fighting where a simple crime plot is used as the fighting background: a burglar invading an house, someone being kidnapping for a ranson, revenge of a treacherous act and so on.
The sample video below is one example from SleeperKid´s: it belongs to the "Robbery" series and it has the renowned wrestler Gia Primo against Fayth.
I am not particularly fond of these fighting style: fighting and acting are poorly staged. There are other purveyors in the sub-genre, like Double Trouble.
Mildred Burke was already featured here in the Blog and now she has a biography in the stores written by the renowned journalist Jeff Leen. I found the book´s summary quite interesting and the pictures were unknown to me. A candid book´s review is in the New York Times of today.
Last Sunday, I published on Theater One a bunch of ceiling holds clips from our "love it/hate it" YouTube. Five or six clips came from CHCentral YouTube user, an expert on this wrestling hold. To my surprise, I got to know that his account was just disabled and the clips went to the black hole where inconvenient images - whatever the reason - are send to by YouTube.
Well, I hope I had not been the unintentional trigger of that unfortunate event... Anyway, the guilty clips used on Theater One are here with the due credits. What was the problem?
They are not naked but those sexy outfits more than compensate in eroticism. The blond suit should have required a lot of engineering to make those straps hold together. The pale in the Blog entry refers to both the skin color of the large fighter (who was she? the brunette is Lynn Marie/Treena Collins) as to the color of the movie.
Two powerhouses facing each other: Helen Von Mott vs Ziggy. It goes without saying that the combat is 100% competitive, without the slightest sign of a previous arrangement. There is a short interview in the beginning of the video with both athletes.
It is competitive, the two fighters are accomplished wrestlers, a lot of skin is exposed, but... (there is always a but) is somewhat boring. The reason - very personal opinion in here - is that both fighters go by the BJJ (brazilian jiu-jitsu) style, which is very, very efficient, but not alluring.
Ceiling holds (a.k.a. Romero, a.k.a. Suspended Surfboard) are a major preference amongst the fans. Thanks to Ceiling Hold Central, we have a healthy bunch of clips to display on Theater One. That includes digital games (Rumble Roses and others) as well.
It was a night of legitimate female bouts in San Francisco many years ago (1988?) and was named the Golden Gate Tournament. The venue was somewhat improvised (what was that? an airplane hangar?) but the fights were pretty good.
Here comes a sample of the first combat between Daphne and Laurie.
One from good old times: Georgina against Anita for Festelle. Just looking at the video you can guess who is the beauty and who is the mean one. By the way, Anita was featured here sometime ago against Tina.
Notice the wrestlers foot soles: some floor cleaning was due at Festelle at that time. But this fetish is not handled by this Blog...
To the ones missing the Women In Prison (WIP) fight category, there goes a good two and a half minutes of the genre. It is from a certain "Caged Women" feature movie but there are half a dozen names like that at the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). I guess few will care about the right name and more the fight scene below in a swamp covered by a luscious tapestry of water plants.
The first time I have posted a female fighting with a color theme - in that case, red - I thought it was somewhat cranky. But, later, I have found a whole Yahoo Group dedicated to women wrestling using red suits! Could you guess the existence of devotees of such a narrow fetish?
Just in case they are amongst the Blog readers, I have three fights - the longest a pro bout from Japan, where the fighters sport red suits and bikinis. And the fights are not that bad too!
This belongs to the small vs big series. Or more precisely, short vs tall. It is from Triumph Studios and in the role of the smaller and hot tempered girl we have the well known Cheryl Rusa; and as a bigger and busty matron, Renee.
Looking at Cheryl resumée, I have noticed she has a huge background as a stuntwoman; at least another wrestler, the Magnificent Mimi, has also a long career in that profession.
I have been a practicioner of the 3D comics female fighting art since sometime ago because of the freedom it gives you to imagine and create your own wrestlers and scenario. Being a so-so amateur, I appreciate the efforts of others to provide elaborate creations and renderings.
One of these professional 3D producers is the Basement Wrestling League, with female vs female and mixed illustrated full stories. With the owner´s kind permission, I am publishing one of the combats created by the artist.
I have to confess that these oversized chests are not in my top ten preferences; but that is the reason there is a space for many in the female fighting image business.
After the last week introduction, more on the multiple names fighting girl, here mostly as Treena Collins for Joan Wise. I am still looking for samples of her fully nude fights for California Wildcats and Savage Video.
That was the line in the poster of the movie "Christina" (1984), referring to the actress Jewel Shepard as the new (well, in 1984...) sexy star and ... wow! look at the initial bath scene to see that had not been an overstatement: probably the sexier breasts in the movies industry! The whole thing was a sexplotation feature from the 80s, with overt lesbian tones and a couple of catfights on the screen.
Much later, Jewel starred Caged Heat 2 (1994), in the Women in Prison (WIP) category, with more fighting but with a lesser exposition of her assets.
The final scene in the video below is from Roots of Evil (1992), presenting the prison sequence where she contributes with... what else could be?
Looking at my lists of clips on YouTube, I have found many had powerful blows applied by women boxers and martial arts fighters which had resulted in one of the girls being knocked out. They are on Theater Three and they comprise punchs and kicks in a variety of sports and feature movies.
I was looking for a naked competitive fight outside the usual suspects and bumped on this japanese production from Fempower Video. It is an interesting outlet with several types of fighting videos where women are dominant. But this video falls short of a real naked fight: holds and moves are staged to give the better view and the view is ... censored!
I have rarely ever seem a fight with so many shouts from the audience giving advice in what to do and what not. In some moments, it was like a football match between England and Italy. But it was just a Festelle organized bout between the English Laurie and the Italian Romana. By the way, a spirited combat with two paper thin girls but enormous strength.
The basement is full of trash, the women are not beauties, their prime time has long gone and production standard is not world class. However, it grabs my attention in a way that some dull fights with stellar models are not able to.
Obviously, it was shot by Crystal Films centuries ago.
One of the first VHS tapes (yes, that existed...) I bought was one Golden Girls with Lynn Marie. I got amazed by her beauty and the voluptousness of her body. Breasts, hips, legs, all in perfect proportion and topped by an angel face.
Sometime later I got the opportunity to watch for the first time a Joan Wise movie and quickly realized that her catfighter Treena was Lynn Marie. With one or two extra pounds, but still delightful.
Below we have some clips of our goddess of two names.
For a while, I wondered if LynnTreena had fought on the nude anytime. One day, I rented a Savage Video production and I swear, there she was, stark naked! LynnTreena, but with a different name: Noel??? I really do not remember.
There will be a second installment of LynnTreena next week.
Jill does not have many fully competitive fights in her resumée and Ziggy, on the contrary, has only non-scripted bouts. So, it is interesting to see how the two fare one against the other in This Flamingo video.
There is a new slide show with the Boston Crabs theme to compensate for the few clips in the Theater Two. As a companion to those static images, I have uploaded a hold that lasts a few seconds but it is unforgettable. Double Trouble is the source.
To embed YouTube playlists in a blog used to be a piece of cake: alas, no more. Two out of three times, I got stuck in some software bug: a nondescript error message appears, the player clip list misses most of the entries, there is no update, and so on. As you know, customer support is practically non-existent at YouTube (as in Google in general): if you find your error message at the FAQ section, you are OK; if not, go by try-and-error.
All of this, to justify that Theater Two has a meager three entries on Boston Crabs, despite the list on YouTube has more than thirty. And these things are taking a lot of my time for not great results.
Sorry for moaning but that adds to the fact that Google has forbidden advertising here: after more than one year alive, they have found this is a blog for adults and their police does not allow it.
Web resources have unleashed an wealth of information unprecedent in history. Back in the 70s, 80s and in the first half of the 90s, the basic support for dissemination of female fighting material were the magazines, some regularly published, some not.
Here we have a sample of magazine covers of those times.
Following the first post on California Supreme, I have an additional sample of their ware: basically, the same concept of home-made production, with controled competition either topless or naked. In these clips, one can watch one of my favorites wrestlers, the gorgeous brunette Roni, who never wrestled for other companies as far as I know.
There are two sites where one can buy CalSupreme merchandise: on the official one, but that has frozen for years, and on CalSupreme TV, which regularly receives material from the past.
This belongs to the raunchy catfights category and was shot somewhere in France. Notice the audience confortably seated on beach chairs, surrounded by piles of cartoon boxes, while admiring the fighters plentiful red cheeks.
Tigra Sports used to sell this video. More on this series of raunchy catfights next Thursday.
